It is based on the child – how he or she thinks, learns and communicates. It is concerned with helping
children ask questions, seeks answers and solve problems. It is a broad curriculum planned to suit the needs
of individual children. Our curriculum reflects the new direction in education and advancement in global
development. This is our definition of a fully Integrated International Curriculum.
What children do in school and how they do it is carefully planned and structured. IGS has policies and guidelines for all areas of the curriculum. These policies and guidelines help teachers plan balanced programme for their pupils – balanced in terms of curricular areas and learning experiences which help each pupil progress at a pace and in a manner appropriate to his or her age, aptitude and ability. We organise field trips and educational tours to enrich our pupils' experiences. We also emphasise the "process" rather than the "product", fostering a sense of accomplishment and pride.
